This stunning piece is one of the largest and finest pieces done by this fine world renowned artist having set an auction record in Sotheby's in 2006, documented below. The whole set in a wonderfully finely conditioned gilt gold wooden frame.

Louis-Aimé Japy was a French 19th Century painter who was born in 1840. Louis-Aimé Japy's work has been offered at auction multiple times, with realized prices ranging from 3700 USD to 66,000 USD, depending on the size and medium of the artwork. Since 1998 the record price for this artist at auction is 66,000 USD for Springtime, sold at Sotheby's New York in 2006. Louis Aimé Japy (1840–1916) was a French painter. He was born in Doubs and travelled to Paris where he became a pupil of Camille Corot and Francois-Louis Francais.[1] He is known for landscapes and fruit and flower still lifes. He died in Paris.
