Pair of French Rams Head Gueridon, Center, End or Side Tables, Black Marble Top, Bronze,
31.5″ H x 30.5 Diameter
A most elegant and high quality French 19th/20th century Louis XVI style ormolu and black marble top Guéridons or side tables. The circular table is raised by handsome finely detailed ormolu hoof feet with large acanthus leaves and three beautifully scrolled tapered legs terminating in richly chased rams heads. The legs are connected by a fine bottom triangular bronze stretcher with concave sides. Above is the central tier retaining its original black marble top fitted within a mottled and beaded framing wrap around ormolu gallery. The circular marble tops retain their original marble surfaces decorated in the same manner and fitted within mottled and beaded wrap around ormolu galleries. A fine example of the Louis XVI style design.
