A 19th century bronze Nude Pan Satyr of a Flutist Figure (s.IV a.de C. Musée du Louvre). A highly desirable decorative antique finely cast sculpture of a bronze Man. Satyrs, related to the Maenads, form the ‘Dionysian procession’ which accompanies the God Dionysus. They can be also associated the God Pan.
Them has been represented at several ages of his life. Minors are called satyrisci, and represents them as young funny: the satyr Anapauomenos (“at rest”), attributed to Praxiteles, is the best example.
