Pair of Louis XVI style 19th century dore bronze chenets. Each having a front facing slightly opposing Poodle wonderfully cast sitting on a gilt tasseled cushion with rounded corners on toupie feet. (description Sothebys NY formally known as Park Bernet Galleries) This is simply the finest pair of chenets or andirons once could wish for. The dore and casting is of the finest quality. The reverse initialed.
