19th century Louis XVI sideboard, cabinet or console by Maison Forest. This finely constructed mahogany cabinet by this highly regarded cabinet maker has a thick white marble top supported by a monumental case of double doors under four drawers with oak secondaries. The drawer fronts with magnificent gilt finely chased bronze mounts. The demilune sides with open bronze gallery shelving having beveled mirror sides and backs to have a vitrine like side view of this fine showpiece. The whole sitting on tapering legs with bronze terminals and sabots. This cabinet having been professionally restored to its original glory. Cabinet makes like Maison forest have been know to inspire many pieces by Maison Jansen and the famous line of Jansen merchandise. This cabinet is certain to spark attention to any home setting.
